CobraByte Terms and Conditions

1. About CobraByte
CobraByte is a web platform for learning Python through lessons, videos, activities, coding exercises and a coding sandbox. It is run by [group or school name] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use CobraByte, you agree to these Terms.
2. Who can use CobraByte
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must read these Terms and the Privacy Notice and agree to them for you. When you tick the parent or guardian box, you confirm that they have.
3. Your account
Give true information when you sign up. Keep your password and verification codes to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at [contact email] if you think someone else has used it. One person, one account.
4. Using CobraByte properly
You agree not to:
- use another person's account or share yours;
- try to break, overload or get around the security of CobraByte, including through code you run in the sandbox;
- copy answers, share answers, or use tools to complete activities for you;
- put other people's personal information, or offensive or unlawful content, in your code, snippets, username or profile photo;
- copy or republish lessons, videos or questions outside CobraByte without permission.
5. Our learning content
Lessons, videos, questions, designs and the CobraByte name and logo belong to us or to the people who gave us permission to use them. You may use them for your own learning.
6. Your code and snippets
Code you write is yours. You allow us to store it and show it back to you. Sandbox runs, including the code and its output, are recorded, and mentors and admins can view them to support learners and keep the system safe.
7. Progress, badges and certificate
Scores, badges and the Certificate of Completion show your progress inside CobraByte. They are not an official school credit or a professional certification. We may correct a record that was produced by an error or by breaking these Terms.
8. Availability and changes
CobraByte is an educational project. We may change, pause or stop features, and the site may be unavailable at times. We try to keep your progress safe but cannot promise it will never be lost.
9. Suspension and closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms. You may ask us to close your account at any time by writing to [contact email].
10. Privacy
How we collect and use personal data is explained in the Privacy Notice, which is part of these Terms.
11. Limits of our responsibility
CobraByte is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using it, from it being unavailable, or from relying on its content.
12. Changes to these Terms
If we change these Terms, we will show you the new version and ask you to agree again before you continue.
13. Law
These Terms follow the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
